Acupressure is a non-needling technique in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
It involves the application of pressure on acupoints and meridians. Acupressure is highly effective as a treatment and as preventative health care.

How Winnie's Acupressure works
Acupressure is a meridian based therapy. As with Acupuncture, Acupressure works to stimulate the flow of blood and qi through pressure applied on acupoints.
Pain and discomfort are often caused by blockages according to TCM. When the energy flows smoothly, pain and discomfort can be relieved.
Individual acupoints and meridians relate to particular organs and functions. By stimulating these acupoints, increased supply of blood and energy will be directed to these organs to improve their functions.
Winnie's unique style of Acupressure can be a strong treatment especially when it serves to clear blockages in the meridians. However, it’s not a lasting pain. Instead of applying strong pressure directly on the area needing treatment, Winnie usually chooses distal points or meridians that are away from the area of pain requiring relief.
For acute conditions, it’s not uncommon for clients to find relief from their conditions within a short time.
